Wolf Hollow Brewing Company creates true, local, craft beer, captured on draught for peak freshness, and enjoyed in our tasting room or home by the local community. By educating and understanding the community in which it lies, WHBC's regular and seasonal offerings are becoming the preeminent choice of local beer drinkers.
To make this a reality, WHBC sells its beer in growlers or fresh from the tap in the brewery and local participating restaurants, believing that packaging beer only degrades its quality. WHBC is open three nights each week to allow its members and walk-in customers to come in and fill their growlers up for the week, or to spend the evening socializing with like-minded beer drinkers in our tasting room.
Yes that’s right, we said “members!” One focus of our business is supplying beer for, and developing relationships with, our WHBC "Wolf Pack" Members. Members receive a special members-only price on growlers or pints, free schwag, and an invitation to all of our special members-only events. These Wolf Packs are the hottest ticket in town!
Wolf Hollow Brewing Company envisions a style of beer that is intentionally created to enhance our local community by providing a fresh, quality product that exhibits the uniqueness of the place in which it is brewed and the people who enjoy it.
In an effort to bring the “micro” back to micro-brew, WHBC focuses on crafting beer and relationships. We believe that there is great value in the power of good beer to bring people together and that the more we grow as a community, the more good things might come from the building up of those relationships. To this end, WHBC is a hub around which our small town of West Glenville has become even more connected. WHBC is not designed to be the next Sam Adams, but instead it stays true to the community from which it spring, and it does its best to provide its local residents, friends, and neighbors with world-class quality beer that they can truly call their own.
Wolf Hollow Amber is the flagship beer of WHBC because it is crafted after the unique character of West Glenville. The toasted notes and the warm reddish hue of this beer invite you in while the crisp dry-hop keeps you reaching for another. This american amber ale has fans in both craft beer enthusiasts and seekers of easy drinking refreshment.
A clean and drinkable West coast style American India Pale Ale that is brewed to be light in color, dry-hopped for a big floral aroma, and just bitter enough to remind you that you’re holding an IPA. In a market flooded with IPA, this one is brewed to stand out with its rich malt profile and bright dry-hop.
This Belgian Style White Ale is brewed with oats, raw wheat, and sweet orange peel, before being finished with a classic belgian yeast. The large helping of wheat in this beer gives it body and depth without leaving it heavy. White’s Wit is great for folks who aren’t sure they like craft beer, by offering lighter flavoring without sacrificing complexity or brewing tradition.
Our Seasonal beers are often darker and heavier than the WHBC Mainstays. This wee heavy takes it to the max with a robust grain bill, strong whisky overtones, and weighing in at 10%. The Scotch Ale gets a little extra attention around the brewery both from the brewers who add bourbon-soaked oak spirals to the fermenter and from the customers who eagerly line up outside the brewery to get a chance at ushering in the Holiday Season sip by sip.
When the light is longer in West Glenville and the sap is flowing with sunny days and cold nights, our thoughts turn to spring rituals such as pancake breakfasts, St. Patrick’s celebrations, and increasing opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors. Whether you allow for beer with your Irish breakfast or just enjoy a good stout under the stars of the spring sky, Wolf Hollow’s flavorful Campout Stout is the perfect companion. Rich and smooth with hints of coffee, this Irish-style stout is perfect for “waking up” from winter and bringing on the new season. Come camp out with Wolf Hollow.
This American Brown Ale has a solid malt profile which delivers more flavor than a traditional English Brown but finishes much dryer due to it’s dry hop qualities. The Nugget hop used provides subtle florals reminiscent of the District 6. When Wolf Hollow’s Brewmaster made a decision to “put off” seminary in favor of brew school, one of his colleagues famously responded, “Lord knows, preachers need beer too.” Once a brewer, he was able to return to seminary and move into ministry. At Wolf Hollow, we believe it all comes together when people gather to enjoy good beer and foster relationships. Enjoy Pulpit Supply Brown year round!
*Pulpit Supply Brown was awarded bronze at the Raise A Glass Foundation International Beer Competition in 2016 and bronze at the Great International Beer & Cider Competition in 2016
Foothills Pils is Wolf Hollow Brewing’s version of the classic style known as Czechoslovakian Pilsner. Being the most crisp and hop-forward style of pilsner this Czech pilsner features a delicate cereal grain profile, which is balanced perfectly by the clean hop finish. This beer is lagered for an extra three to four weeks to give it a light clean mouthfeel and bright golden color. Named in honor of our location in the foothills of the Adirondacks, this beer is as complex as it is beautiful.
Brunette’s Revenge is an American blonde ale brewed with a healthy portion of malted wheat to give it a nice round sweetness in the malt profile. The American ale yeast keeps it clean and drinkable while the substantial Falconer’s Flight 7 C’s dry-hop balances the malt with just the right amount of citrus undertones. Light in color and approachable this blonde ale is great for people who want a lighter beer without sacrificing flavor, body and complexity. Truly the brunette’s revenge!
Tripel Jump is what happens when a classic Belgian tripel comes face to face with and IPA. This golden straw colored beer is brewers in the classic Belgian tripel style, leaving it light in color and strong in flavor with a mild tartness and slight fruitiness from the Belgian yeast. However, this beer is also hopped like and IPA giving it a hop presence reminiscent of a great IPA. Take a leap and enjoy the Jump!
Lock 9 Porter is a robust American Porter with a deep rich malt profile full of chocolate and black malt. Due to the nature of these malts one can taste the roasted flavor of cocoa beans and coffee in this true-to-style version of the classic English Porter. Clocking in at just under 7.0% it packs a punch to keep you warm on these cold winter evenings. The perfect beer to settle down next to the wood stove and enjoy the company of friends.
