Posted Leave a commentPosted in Brewery News

This Thursday, March 8th, the smash hit Lock 9 AM Coffee and Vanilla Porter will make its triumphant return to our tap lines! This second run will use a Guatemalan roast from our friends at Electric City Roasters. Our friend Patrick will be making authentic French crepes with chocolate sauce and whipped cream Thursday evening to enjoy with your beer! For this occasion we are offering a special combo deal: $10 for a crepe and beer if you purchase a pint of 9 AM or 3 Porter flight (3 different styles!).

Then on Saturday and Sunday, you the customers have the opportunity to truly put the YOUR BEER in Your Beer. Brewed Here. The folks from Electric City Roasters will be on hand from 12-3 pm on both days handing out samples of their coffee and giving folks the chance to vote on the bean we will use in our next batch of 9 AM! On Sunday, the Cock ‘n Bull will be preparing a brunch inspired menu to go along with your beer.

Mid January Updates

Posted Leave a commentPosted in Brewery News

Hey there everyone,

Hope your 2018 has gotten off to a great start! There’s a lot keeping us occupied here at the Hollow these days. Saturday night our new American Pale Ale finally showed up on the tap lines and it has quickly become a hit! The Russian Imperial Stout I mentioned a couple of weeks back still needs a little more time to cook, so keep an eye out for it in a few more weeks. We brewed our first ever Dunkelweizen last week! You can expect to see it show up in the taproom sometime in the next month.

We’re really excited to be participating in Schenectady Beer Week which will take place from February 12th-17th. Tomorrow we are brewing a collaborative beer with our friends from Mad Jack and Great Flats that will be available at bars and restaurants around the city as well as here in the taproom! Keep a lookout for special events during that week and places you can come hang with us.

Upcoming Events where the Wolf can be found:

January 23rd: City Beer Hall Trivia Night (Albany)

Feb 10th: Great Nor’easter Brew Fest (Schenectady)

February 24th: Saratoga Beer Summit (Saratoga Springs)

Lastly, this Sunday we’re co-hosting a really exciting event with our friends at Riverside Maple Farms: See How It Works Sunday! At 1 pm, folks are welcomed to gather at the maple farm for a tour of their Sugar Shack and tasting of maple products. After that, the party moves to Wolf Hollow where everyone will be treated to a tour of the operations here and sampling of some beers. Following the tour, we will tap a special cask made with syrup from next door! It is going to be a wonderful afternoon so bring the whole family out for a day of educational fun and tasty local products.

Happy New Year!

Posted Leave a commentPosted in Brewery News

Happy 2018 everyone! Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, it will be my resolution for the new year to make sure I get one of these posts up every 2 weeks! There’s a lot happening here at Wolf Hollow despite the bomb cyclone and snow covered ground. First off, there will be two newcomers to the draft list! This weekend we are releasing our Primitive Path American Pale Ale. We are all very excited about this beer and once you taste it, we are sure you will be too. The second beer you will have to wait a couple more weeks for, but stay on the look out for our first ever Russian Imperial Stout! It’s hard to believe that March is only 8 weeks away, but you can also look forward to the return of Look Bock and Laugh on March 7th.

We also have some really great events lined up for the next couple months. On Valentines Day, we will be hosting the winter installment of our Beer Dinner series, so don’t overthink it! Grab tickets for you and that special someone and let us take care of everything else! On Saturday, February 17th, Big Fez and The Surfmatics return to WHBC for a summer beach party! The Hollow will be decked out to remind us all of those coming summer months, so put on your best Tommy Bahama and come jam out to all your favorite beach tunes. We will also be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day early on Wednesday, March 14th ┬áhere at Wolf Hollow with our good friends Get Up Jack!

Remember to keep an eye out for the Wolf out and about in the community. On January 19th, you can find us up at Shmaltz in Clifton Park for their annual IPA Fest. On January 23rd, we’ll be sponsoring trivia night at City Beer in Albany. February 10th, we’ll be hanging out at the Great Nor’easter Winter Beer Fest at Renaissance Hall in Schenectady. On February 24th you’ll be able to find us setting up shop at the Saratoga Beer Summit. Lastly, keep an eye out for the announcement of Schenectady Beer Week!

Man, this year has flown by and the holiday season is upon us! We have a jam packed month for you here at the Hollow. On Wednesday evening of this week, Tiny Tartan makes its triumphant return for the winter season and we will be celebrating with a release party for the public! There will be bagpipes, hopefully some kilts and food options provided by The Cock ‘n Bull. On Saturday evening of this week, we welcome back the incomparable Upstate Rubdown at 8 pm. Be sure to arrive early and get a wristband! The awesome music doesn’t stop there! The following week, on December 16th, local favorite The North and South Dakotas return to the stage here at WHBC. On Saturday, December 23rd, we will be having our yearly Christmas celebration in the taproom! Wear your best ugly holiday sweater and you’ll get a discount on pints. Tanager will also be performing holiday tunes starting at 6 pm.

We also have some fun events in the community happening! On Wednesday, December 13th we will be at the awesome burger joint Sliding’ Dirty in Schenectady starting at 6 pm and pouring 5 of our favorite brews, including Tiny Tartan and Yule Lager! The following week on Friday, December 22nd we will be up in Broadalbin at Project 29 Pub & Filling Station. Starting at 7 pm, come enjoy some of our favorite seasonal beers and kick off your Christmas weekend with WHBC!

The first two Sunday openings have gone great for us so far and we can’t thank you all enough for the outpouring of support that has made it a success. The great folks at The Cock ‘n Bull are working tirelessly to bring you something fun and new each week so remember to keep an eye on the website and social media every Sunday morning for their menu!

Sunday Hours!!!

Posted 1 CommentPosted in Brewery News

After months of talk and numerous delays, today it is official: we will be open for business on Sundays from 12-6 pm starting November 26th!!! We’re flattered that our business has grown to the point where we can open more days during the week and give all our faithful customers additional chances to come in for Your Beer. Brewed Here.

Part of the reason it has taken so long to make this announcement is that we wanted to make sure customers would have the same experience at Wolf Hollow on a Sunday as they would any other day. Our BBQ friends at Buzzard’s Bay will not be open Sunday afternoons and we will be welcoming one of our closest friends in their stead: Rick Sleeper and the amazing staff from The Cock N’ Bull in Galway will be taking up residence during Sunday afternoons to provide customers with food options! Their menu will be a little different each week so make sure to stay tuned to our social media outlets and website for the menu each Sunday morning.

As always, none of this would be possible without all of you and we can’t wait to spend an extra day every week with everyone here at Wolf Hollow.

Happy November!

It’s already November and the Holidays are rapidly approaching! Just because the year is winding down doesn’t mean we are slowing down at the Hollow. We kick off November with a week of music, ending with the fantastic New England band Twisted Pine November 4th at 8 pm. On November 18th local favorites The Nellies will be up on the brewhouse stage for the first time. November 14th we will be hosting the 3rd installment of the WHBC beer dinners! The event has already sold out and we can’t wait to share the new menu with the attendees.

On November 15th we have a very special treat for you all: The world class mandolin player Matt Flinner will be here with his trio for a night of unparalleled musicianship. Tickets are $20 in advance and can be purchased online or in the Taproom. We’re really excited to have Matt and his band here and hope many of you will join us.

You will be noticing some beer changes in the coming weeks. Our first ever American Light Lager will be hitting the tap lines this weekend. We also have a Porter conditioned with coffee and vanilla beans that will be making an appearance soon! For the holidays, we have our first Vienna Lager conditioned with mulling spices and everyone’s favorite, Tiny Tartan! Tiny Tartan makes its debut on Wednesday, December 6th at 4 pm! The brewery will be open for regular business so put on your best Scottish garb and come down to celebrate!

16 for 16

Posted Leave a commentPosted in Brewery News

When we opened our tap room doors here at our current location just a little over 2 years ago, Jordan and Pete installed 16 tap lines. It has been a major goal of theirs since then to one day be able to fill all of them with beer made right here at Wolf Hollow. Well, on Thursday this goal will be accomplished. All 16 draft lines will be filled with delicious Wolf Hollow beer as we welcome Fall Tree Oktoberfest and District 12 Double IPA to the lineup. In celebration of this milestone, the first 16 customers Thursday evening will get a free pint and the every 16th pint after that will be on the house! We hope many of you will be able to join us this weekend since it is you, our customers, who have made this all possible.

The fall is an exciting time here for us as we will be all over the region attending brewfests and bringing back some old favorites that have been gone for too long. We love all our customers and cannot thank you enough for your continued support of Wolf Hollow Brewing Company.

Double Beer Release!

Posted 2 CommentsPosted in Brewery News

We’ve hit the home stretch of summer 2017, and what better way to see it out than with not 1, but 2 new beers! Our first ever Saison will be hitting the tap lines this Thursday along with the return of our fan favorite Year One Black Lager. Coupled with Buzzard’s Bay returning from vacation and the final music week of August, it is sure to be a great weekend here at the Hollow and we hope to see you all!

One Final note: On Friday, 8/25 Fran and Diane, our killer Friday night bartenders whom many of you have to come know very well over the last couple of years will be working their final shift here at Wolf Hollow. I speak for everyone when I say that they will be missed greatly and Fridays will not be the same without them.
