The Holidays are here!

Man, this year has flown by and the holiday season is upon us! We have a jam packed month for you here at the Hollow. On Wednesday evening of this week, Tiny Tartan makes its triumphant return for the winter season and we will be celebrating with a release party for the public! There will be bagpipes, hopefully some kilts and food options provided by The Cock ‘n Bull. On Saturday evening of this week, we welcome back the incomparable Upstate Rubdown at 8 pm. Be sure to arrive early and get a wristband! The awesome music doesn’t stop there! The following week, on December 16th, local favorite The North and South Dakotas return to the stage here at WHBC. On Saturday, December 23rd, we will be having our yearly Christmas celebration in the taproom! Wear your best ugly holiday sweater and you’ll get a discount on pints. Tanager will also be performing holiday tunes starting at 6 pm.

We also have some fun events in the community happening! On Wednesday, December 13th we will be at the awesome burger joint Sliding’ Dirty in Schenectady starting at 6 pm and pouring 5 of our favorite brews, including Tiny Tartan and Yule Lager! The following week on Friday, December 22nd we will be up in Broadalbin at Project 29 Pub & Filling Station. Starting at 7 pm, come enjoy some of our favorite seasonal beers and kick off your Christmas weekend with WHBC!

The first two Sunday openings have gone great for us so far and we can’t thank you all enough for the outpouring of support that has made it a success. The great folks at The Cock ‘n Bull are working tirelessly to bring you something fun and new each week so remember to keep an eye on the website and social media every Sunday morning for their menu!

Cheers,

Sunday Hours!!!

Posted on 1 CommentPosted in Brewery News

After months of talk and numerous delays, today it is official: we will be open for business on Sundays from 12-6 pm starting November 26th!!! We’re flattered that our business has grown to the point where we can open more days during the week and give all our faithful customers additional chances to come in for Your Beer. Brewed Here.

Part of the reason it has taken so long to make this announcement is that we wanted to make sure customers would have the same experience at Wolf Hollow on a Sunday as they would any other day. Our BBQ friends at Buzzard’s Bay will not be open Sunday afternoons and we will be welcoming one of our closest friends in their stead: Rick Sleeper and the amazing staff from The Cock N’ Bull in Galway will be taking up residence during Sunday afternoons to provide customers with food options! Their menu will be a little different each week so make sure to stay tuned to our social media outlets and website for the menu each Sunday morning.

As always, none of this would be possible without all of you and we can’t wait to spend an extra day every week with everyone here at Wolf Hollow.

Cheers,

The WHBC Team

Happy November!

It’s already November and the Holidays are rapidly approaching! Just because the year is winding down doesn’t mean we are slowing down at the Hollow. We kick off November with a week of music, ending with the fantastic New England band Twisted Pine November 4th at 8 pm. On November 18th local favorites The Nellies will be up on the brewhouse stage for the first time. November 14th we will be hosting the 3rd installment of the WHBC beer dinners! The event has already sold out and we can’t wait to share the new menu with the attendees.

On November 15th we have a very special treat for you all: The world class mandolin player Matt Flinner will be here with his trio for a night of unparalleled musicianship. Tickets are $20 in advance and can be purchased online or in the Taproom. We’re really excited to have Matt and his band here and hope many of you will join us.

You will be noticing some beer changes in the coming weeks. Our first ever American Light Lager will be hitting the tap lines this weekend. We also have a Porter conditioned with coffee and vanilla beans that will be making an appearance soon! For the holidays, we have our first Vienna Lager conditioned with mulling spices and everyone’s favorite, Tiny Tartan! Tiny Tartan makes its debut on Wednesday, December 6th at 4 pm! The brewery will be open for regular business so put on your best Scottish garb and come down to celebrate!

Cheers,

The WHBC Team

16 for 16

When we opened our tap room doors here at our current location just a little over 2 years ago, Jordan and Pete installed 16 tap lines. It has been a major goal of theirs since then to one day be able to fill all of them with beer made right here at Wolf Hollow. Well, on Thursday this goal will be accomplished. All 16 draft lines will be filled with delicious Wolf Hollow beer as we welcome Fall Tree Oktoberfest and District 12 Double IPA to the lineup. In celebration of this milestone, the first 16 customers Thursday evening will get a free pint and the every 16th pint after that will be on the house! We hope many of you will be able to join us this weekend since it is you, our customers, who have made this all possible.

The fall is an exciting time here for us as we will be all over the region attending brewfests and bringing back some old favorites that have been gone for too long. We love all our customers and cannot thank you enough for your continued support of Wolf Hollow Brewing Company.

Cheers,

The Team at WHBC

Double Beer Release!

We’ve hit the home stretch of summer 2017, and what better way to see it out than with not 1, but 2 new beers! Our first ever Saison will be hitting the tap lines this Thursday along with the return of our fan favorite Year One Black Lager. Coupled with Buzzard’s Bay returning from vacation and the final music week of August, it is sure to be a great weekend here at the Hollow and we hope to see you all!

One Final note: On Friday, 8/25 Fran and Diane, our killer Friday night bartenders whom many of you have to come know very well over the last couple of years will be working their final shift here at Wolf Hollow. I speak for everyone when I say that they will be missed greatly and Fridays will not be the same without them.

Cheers,

The Team at Wolf Hollow

Happy August!

Posted on Leave a commentPosted in Brewery News

I can’t believe it is already august! The summer has flown by with all the things that have been going on here at the Hollow. We ended July with a fantastic week of music, which was capped off by a phenomenal show by Big Fez and the Surfmatics. They had the brewery dancing all night long and we can’t wait to have them back again. With July in the rearview mirror, it’s on to more exciting things for August!

Tomorrow night, August 2nd, we will be open for business to release our 2017 Purpose Pale Ale to benefit Ales for ALS. There will be raffles, a very special guest speaker and $1 from every pint of Pale Ale sold will be donated to ALS research. This week is also a music week again! We have Neil and Jess, Running the River and The Lazy Suns playing here at the hollow. We will be welcoming Burger 21 back to Wolf Hollow from August 10-12 and 18-20 while the Buzzard’s Bay crew takes a much deserved vacation. They make wonderful burgers and fries that pair perfectly with a nice cold pint of beer.

We hope everyone is having a great summer and hope to see you here at the Hollow soon!

Cheers,

The Wolf Hollow Team

Dog Days of Summer

Posted on 2 CommentsPosted in Brewery News

We can’t believe it is already mid July! There has been so much happening down here at the Hollow that time is just flying by this summer. This past weekend, we hosted the first ever wedding here at WHBC and it was a massive success. We had such a great time and were honored to be part of the union between Hannah Newell and Justin Stirzaker. Our new fermenters are working around the clock to keep up with the demand from our customers and we are close to being at a point where Jordan, Dave and Kyle can start getting creative and bringing some new stuff to the taproom! Just today, the brew for this year’s Ales for ALS beer was put into the fermenter in preparation for the release party on August 2nd, and it promises to be a great beer and a great night for a very worthy cause.

As for upcoming events, next week we end July with a week full of great music starting with Wolf Hollow regular Gabby Ellers Thursday, July 27th at 7pm. Friday, July 28th at 7pm we will have a great trio named Cold Chocolate and then it all culminates Saturday, July 29th at 9pm with the return of Big Fez and the Surfmatics. In August, our hard working BBQ team will be taking a well deserved 2 week vacation, so in their stead the folks from Burger 21 will be here serving up awesome burgers and fries for everyone! This will be taking place August 10-12 and August 17-19 and the truck will operate during the normal brewery hours. We will also have some big news on the way in the coming weeks so keep an eye out!

Cheers,

The team at Wolf Hollow

Starting July With A Bang

Posted on 1 CommentPosted in Brewery News

It is a big week of firsts here at WHBC as June comes to a close and we roll on into the dog days of summer. Last night the brewery hosted its first ever Beer Dinner. It was a wonderful evening for us and it was made even better by all the people who left with smiling faces. A few weeks ago we were gifted 3 whiskey barrels from the Schenectady Distilling Co. and yesterday we finally filled them with Lock 9 Porter. Jordan is really excited about this and can’t wait to share our first barrel aged beer with our customer in 4 months.

Which brings us to today, June 28th, 2017. As we speak, Jordan, Dave and Kyle are preparing the first 15 barrel fermenter to be filled with District 6 IPA. All the parts have finally fit into place after weeks of waiting and anticipation! It is a really exciting time for everyone here and we can’t wait to continue sharing all of these great things with you, our loyal customers. This great week will culminate Saturday night with a concert from the popular group Upstate Rubdown right here in our brewhouse. The show starts at 9pm and will have a $10 cover. Come on down to the Hollow and kick off your long weekend with some awesome music and check out all the new stuff we have going on!

Cheers,

The team at Wolf Hollow

Big Changes at Wolf Hollow

Posted on Leave a commentPosted in Brewery News

As many of you know, we have been talking about our expansion project for a while now and kept using the word “soon.” Well, this morning, soon became a reality. We are delighted to officially welcome our two new 15 barrel fermenters to the brewhouse! Along with these new tanks there have been some other projects going on around the brewery you may also have noticed. Last week we put in a brand new septic system, which you can still see right now when you pull into the parking lot on the left side. This new system will allow us to handled the scaled up beer production. Another project that most have not seen is the new keg refrigerator that has been constructed in the back barn. This fridge is now home to the 200+ new kegs that arrived on the truck along with the fermenters this morning and will also soon be operational to help store all the new beer! We are so excited to share these exciting times with all you, our dedicated community which without you none of this would have been possible. We hope to see you all down at the Hollow in the coming weeks to celebrate with us and check out the shiny new toys.
