As summer fades and fall begins to creep in, Wolf Hollow has some very exciting news which we’re looking forward to sharing with our patrons old and new. In order to give everyone a little insight into how a week in the life of Wolf Hollow goes, we’ll be chronicling various aspects of the day to day operations here at the brewery on our Instagram and Facebook stories over the next week. Please tune into our social media feeds as we give you a peek behind the curtain here at Wolf Hollow and keep an eye out for subtle hints we will be dropping. We encourage everyone to interact with these stories and don’t forget to say hi if you see us out on the road!

For the third year in a row Wolf Hollow will be participating in the Ales for ALS program. Each year the organization sends a experimental hop mixture to brewers around to country to use in a beer they will brew to raise money for the continuing search to find a cure for ALS. Here at WHBC, we use these hops to make an American Pale Ale, with a portion of the proceeds from the beer being donated to ALS research. We hope you will join us this Wednesday from 4-10 pm for an evening of learning and good times with friends for a great cause. There will be folks here with educational materials about ALS and the research currently being conducted as well as some great raffle prizes!

It’s that time of year again: Schenectady Summer Night 2018! This year we have teamed up with Mad Jack and Great Flats to brew a special American Pale Lager for the festival goers to enjoy. Each brewery used the same base recipe but added different hops, resulting in 3 different tasting beers. Make sure to sample all 3 and taste the difference hops can make! This beer is being released exclusively at Summer Night but will also show up in the taproom after the event.
On Saturday, July 14th you will find 3 different versions of our rotating hop series Primitive Path Pale Ale on tap. We have been saving a little bit of each batch so that we could do something like this and let customers taste them all side by side and see the differences! You will be able to try a flight of Primitive Path hopped with simcoe, chinook and cascade hops. Don’t forget to stick around for Twisted Pine at 8!

According to the calendar it is spring, but I don’t think Mother Nature has gotten the memo. Luckily we have some new things brewing up at the Hollow to brighten your mood! You’ve probably noticed White’s Wit absent from the draft board the last couple weeks. Kyle is busy kegging the new batch as we speak so keep an eye out for it in the coming weeks! My Favorite Uncle imperial red ale will also be returning after a long hiatus! It will be a few more weeks before you see him up on the tap list. There’s also rumblings that Jordan plans to bring Mourning Monk and Priors Conviction back!

On Wednesday evening of this week, we will be releasing Wolf Hollow’s first Session IPA! This beer was brewed in conjunction with the good folks at Hunter’s on Jay and Slidin’ Dirty in Schenectady after they approached us a couple months about making a collaboration beer! It is a nice light, aromatic, hazy and low alcohol IPA so you can enjoy more than just one! The party kicks off at 6 pm at Slidin’ Dirty and then moves over to Hunter’s on Jay at 8 pm. We hope to see you there!
If you’re a fan of our White’s Wit, make sure to get down here this weekend because we only have one keg left! It’ll be taking a short vacation when it runs out, but fear not because that means Nun the Wiser has returned from her tropical vacation.
As we move into April, you can find the WHBC team hanging out at World of Beer in Albany on Monday, April 2nd from 7-9 pm. We hope you’ll come enjoy some beers with us! Keep an eye on our website and social media channels for information regarding the fundraising events happening in the taproom during the month of April. On 4/8, St. Baldrick’s returns for 2018 with a day of kicking childhood cancer’s butt and head shaving! On 4/22 we welcome the local Relay for Life chapter and on 4/29 Wolf Hollow welcomes the Albany Walk MS team back for a second time! All events are free and open to the public and we hope you’ll come out and support these awesome organizations.
