Just when you start thinking that you’re sad to see summer go, the air takes on a cool crispness and the leaves begin to turn and you’re psyched for a different kind of beer season! We here at Wolf Hollow are always excited for the change of seasons, bringing with it new brews, new friends and new happenings! We have a busy October and you should know what’s going on so you can join in the fun!
AT THE BREWERY:
Right out of the gate on October 2 we are hosting the Animal Protective Foundation’s Bark and Brew. We have a SOLD OUT crowd for this first time event! We aren’t telling you this to taunt you, but keep your eyes peeled for similar events in the future as this is already a success…puppies and pale ale, a great combo!
October 13 during regular taproom hours we will host a release party for the beloved District 12 Double IPA! Come for special pint pricing and the first taste of this year’s limited batch featuring local honey from the Tibetan Moose Apiary in Rotterdam. This deliciously floral honey is added post-boil, which allows the complex floral notes to be super present in this beautiful brew. Get it while it lasts!
On October 29 we will have our third installment of the WHBC Concert Series, welcoming the North and South Dakotas to the Wolf Hollow BrewStage! We are very excited to host his very popular local band and their fans at the brewery.
From October 13-22 Buzzards Bay BBQ will be on a well-deserved vacation to rest up and recharge for a busy fall/winter season. In their stead we are bringing in some fantastic food to satisfy your taste buds. Please join us in welcoming the Burger 21 food truck on October 13 & 15, Cock ‘n’ Bull South on October 14 (coming with a very special family and a very special mission), and the Hungry Traveler food truck on October 21, 21 and 22! Stay tuned for more info on these offerings soon.
ON THE ROAD:
October 6-8 the boys will be attending the Great American Beer Fest in Denver! We have a number of brews entered into competition, keep your fingers crossed for your fave to bring home some love. While they are away things don’t slow down…find us at the grand opening of The Glass Tavern in Scotia from 3-9pm with tastings for all, and the Elktoberfest in Clifton Park, both on Oct. 8. Other tastings this month include Tuesday, October 11 at the Cock ‘n’ Bull for the Galway Lions Octoberfest, Friday Oct. 21 at Proctor’s in Schenectady to benefit Sunnyview Hospital and Sunday Oct. 23 at the Raindancer in Amsterdam to benefit the United Way. Additionally on October 15 we will be a part of two fabulous beer events with many of our craft beverage comrades, the Adirondack Brewery Oktoberfest in Lake George as well as Drink Albany in Quackenbush Square hosted by the Capital Craft Beverage Trail.
We hope to see you all at the brewery and out and about…bring your friends and introduce someone new to “your beer, brewed here”!
